To create an Asset Theme:

1. From the Create new GIS Theme form, click the Theme Category dropdown, and select Asset.
2. Select an available Asset type from the Asset Types dropdown. The Theme Name textbox will default to {Asset_Type}_NAME. Edit this value if required.

   

   Note: The Asset Types dropdown will only list types that do not already have an associated theme.
3. The Geometry Type, Create network-based themes also and Off-network Theme controls are read-only and their values will depend on the Asset Type settings, i.e.:
   • Geometry Type will default to either ‘POINT’ or ‘LINE’ depending if the related asset type is located along a network and its location type is defined as “Point” or “Continuous”.
   • The Create network-based themes also switch will be set to ‘Yes’ if the asset type has an associated network type.
   • The Off-network Theme switch will be set to ‘Yes’ only if the “Use XY” property of the asset type is also set to “Yes”.
4. Turn the Log Errors switch on if you want to log any errors during the theme creation process.
5. Press the Create Theme button to create the theme.
